  1. Oh my goodness, I never thought this day would come. I have returned to Zenyte.
For those of you who haven't had the privilege of meeting me, I'm making this thread now.

My name is Ruby and my Ironman is Violation. I am a Veteran here at Zenyte and have been around since launch day. I was one of the first top 10 on the hiscores during the first couple of months and enjoyed the competition while I could still keep up.
I was a member of the Zenyte in-game staff team and forum staff team two consecutive times and resigned both times due to clashing differences with one of our previous staff members.

Ultimately I decided it was time to take a very long break and recollect myself after thinking I was never going to return myself.

Honestly, I've been reading threads on Zenyte even after my hiatus and keeping tabs with the people I knew were going to push through and try and make this game what it needed to be and I was not disappointed. In fact, I knew from the beginning when Matt (Gepan) joined the staff team that he was going all the way to the top.
I am extremely proud of how far this server has come and although the player count has dropped, it's hardly what truly matters. The server has gone through many hardships with untrustworthy people, abuse and just plain negligence. This is not a thread made to reminisce on the past of Zenyte nor bash on anyone, but more of a thread to show how far this server has come. I believe everything negative weeded itself out in the end and it was ultimately better for the server to be built back up in the long run with an even better team than before.

The moral of the story? I'm no one special but I will be your friend. I'm happy to be back and I truly do have faith that regardless of the player count, there's still a strong connection with the people that still play, especially the Veterans that are still here and will continue to be here.

Catch me around, feel free to pm me if you need assistance because I still have loads of knowledge of the game (I hope LOL) and keep grinding fam 🙂

    Thanks for having me.

  2. Heya guys and girls, it’s me, Ruby/Violation! I’ve held off for awhile on making a topic because I wasn’t sure whether it needed to be a feedback thread or a farewell thread. i’ve ultimately decided that a feedback thread would do no good based on several factors at play so I guess it’ll have to be a little bit of both.

Zenyte was my home for a year and a half (on and off of course) and i’ve grown to know a lot of people and make everlasting friendships with some as well.

My favourite part about starting my time at  Zenyte, as a player not staff, was that it was so hyped up and hundreds of people were ready for it. I knew so many people from other servers that I was already friends with and we were all excited to play together. Shortly after I was offered a job on another project and turned it down for Zenyte staff because I had faith in the team (Panda was manager) and high hopes that this time maybe it would be different.

I wasn’t wrong. It was different; in good and bad ways. Let me start off by saying that what i’m going to say next in no way, shape or form should be seen as detrimental or derogatory toward the current manager of Zenyte. I enjoyed Life as a manager but... *shrugs*

I have never enjoyed working under a manager more than Panda. He wasn’t just a manager, but also a leader. He listened to people, he brought up concerns within the staff team as a team, not in secret. and he did his best to communicate and build a structure that Zenyte was standing on for a long time. The most relevant part of the Panda being a manager, subjectively, was that he asked when people left. He wanted to know how to make the staff team better. I think that’s a big part of many of what makes you a leader and not just a manager.

I’m going to mention a few people but not all of staff because I’m trying to make this less of a feedback thread and more of why i’m leaving.

@GepanI have to mention you first because, my god, I have never seen a more dedicated person in all of my life when it comes to Zenyte. I really can’t think of the words to say to thank you for all you’ve done. If you were on the team during launch Zenyte would have exploded into a different realm and I have no doubts about that.

@200M DancingYou’ve been a good friend to me but that’s hardly what mattered at the time. We had a lot of the same stances on things and ideas but unfortunately they never came to light. You were an okay SS but are currently a better Moderator. You’ve grown a lot and I hope others see that as well.

    @developmentteam

I honestly respect the hard work and dedication. There’s only so much you can say without getting carpel tunnel on how much you’ve contributed and made Zenyte a better place. You’ve pushed passed EVERY obstacle Zenyte ran into for nearly two years and you seem to be continuing to do so. That deserves an unprecedented amount of respect. Keep doing what you do.

@Life I’m just not really sure what to say. There’s a lot of good and a lot of bad. I’m once again going to keep my mouth closed on the matter for the most part because it will do zero amount of good for anyone. There have been a ridiculous amount of staff feedback threads, not one thing changed or had been attempted for change. The only thing ever deducted from your replies on those threads was that you were a perfect manager and it was everyone else’s problem that you weren’t approachable or asked why you were losing members of your team. I guess the only thing I have to say constructive on your part is that you could try working on being a leader instead of a manager.

I left the last part for last considering that was the reason I left and nothing more or less.

When multiple members of the community and ex staff come to make a feedback report then you know something needs to change. The admins stood by Life’s replies and most of the staff did as well and that’s something I can never agree with. So still, things remained unchanged. Who knows, I could be wrong about the whole thing. 🙂

In the end, I wanted what was best for Zenyte. Unfortunately you don’t get everything you want in life. Businesses are hard to run, close-knit communities are even harder. I respect Life for holding it down as long as he has and that definitely and indisputably deserves an applause. However, currently, I believe he doesn’t see anything to improve on and that’s why I think Zenyte will be stuck in a limbo until something big changes.

Honestly, no hard feelings about anything. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes. I will hold true to that until the day I die.

Feel free to move this to Staff Feedback if it encroaches on any rules.

Zenyte community, current staff and former staff alike, I bid you farewell.

A lot of my presence within the community was considered to be sarcastic and offsetting but I think it’s because i’m misunderstood. It was such an honor that you let me be a part of such a great community for such a long time.

    Much love and keep grinding.

I feel so incredibly guilty for not mentioning @Hideand @Hxrdcore

You’ve both been here since the beginning and deserve more respect than anyone can give you. You’ve been loyal to a fault despite everything and the ridiculous amount of support you’ve provided over all this time is clearly unmatched. I think I speak for the entire community when I say thank you for being you.

  3. while they may be depressing and truly heartfelt, just know that these things are the best things to happen to you in order for you to pursue another avenue in life. whichever road you choose, you’ll exceed in.

you’ll always be a friend to me.
