    Good and reasonable question but...

    1) When do you actually think Nightmare would come if we don't even have TOB/Con after so many years?

    2) Nightmare could still drop the orbs/staff (if we do get this Tekton boss without them)

    3) Tekton boss could be removed and replaced with Nightmare or maybe no Nightmare boss at all.

    Those are the options I guess

     

    Edit: About point 1) I'm not trying to be negative but instead give you the truth. I personally don't want to wait 2-5 years for Nightmare boss and the drops. Of course I'd choose Nightmare boss over Tekton boss if we could do that soon but that won't happen. Tekton won't be the same but it would still be a nice boss that could be enjoyable & we could have some mass bossing events there + finally get inquisitor set & mace in-game from a boss that would be enjoyable. It seems that the community feels the same way about it so I hope the management will take this into serious consideration.

    It does NOT mean that you need to be Zenyte donator rank to do Zenyte tasks or to be able to get Zuk helm.

    This is simply Zenyte's own & original idea around combat achievements rather than easy, medium, hard, elite, master & grandmaster like OSRS


  3. This is another update that would bring excitement around Zenyte & current players that decide to try out this GIM mode would have content for quite some time while waiting for new updates.

    I suggest that there will be only ONE experience mode available for GIM: 15x15 

    I also suggest we have only one or two group sizes (3+5) so that the competition won't be too spread which is also the reason for only one xp mode.

    Not really much else to add here but hopefully this is something we could get rather sooner than later.

  4. Combat achievement/task/diary or whatever you want to call it but here's an idea what it could potentially look like (system & tasks & rewards)

    So we would have 7 different tiers: Sapphire, Emerald, Ruby, Diamond, Dragonstone, Onyx & Zenyte. As you go further the tasks will become more challenging & difficult but the rewards will become better & more tempting as well.

    Why do we need this? 

    For people to have challenges, goals, competition & simply to flex their rewards in-game.

    For example older players or extremely rich players won't have too much stuff to do in-game but this would certainly make them do some tasks they normally wouldn't do unless they previously have already completed these. (Current kc, speed etc should count) but I guess that's up for debate.

    Sapphire:

    1) Kill 10 giant mole
    2) Kill 10 kbd
    3) Kill 10 kraken
    4) Kill 10 grotesque guardians
    5) kill 10 thermonuclear smoke devils
    6) kill 10 kalphite queen
    7) Kill Hespori 1 time
    8] Complete barrows 5 times

    Reward: 

    500k coins
    50k xp lamp (25k if 10x, 12.5k if x5)
    extra slot for blocking slayer task
    1 extra slayer point per task completed

    Emerald:

    1) Kill each DKS at least 10 times
    2) Kill 2 skotizo
    3) Kill 25 cerberus
    4) Kill 25 vorkath
    5) Kill 25 hydra
    6) Kill jad once


    Reward: 
    750k coins
    60k xp lamp (30k if x10, 15k if x5)
    1 extra vote point per vote
    10% drop rate boost at barrows
    10% drop rate boost for all PVM pets in-game


    Ruby:

    1) Kill Kree 20 times
    2) Kill General graardor 20 times
    3) Kill Zilyana 20 times

    1) Kill Zulrah faster than 1:15

    5) Complete at least 5 normal raids


    Reward:
    2m coins
    100k xp lamp (50k if x10, 25k if x5)
    2 extra slayer points per task completed
    50% more zulrah scales per kill
    Extra slot to block slayer task
    Access to Combat achievement store & unlock ability to purchase recolor DHCB into blue (Vorkath) for 10m coins

    Dragonstone:

    1) Have +400 gwd boss kc (they all add up) for example 70 kree, 130 general graardor, 90 k'ril & 110 zilyana would mean you have completed the task
    2) Have +100 hydra kc
    3) Have +100 zulrah kc
    4) Have +100 vorkath kc
    5) Have +25 regular cox kc
    6) Complete regular raid under 30 minutes (solo)

    Reward:
    3m coins
    200k xp lamp (100k if x10, 50k if x5)
    2 extra slayer points per task completed
    2% cox points boost
    additional 10% pet drop rate boost for all pvm bosses in-game
    Unlock new slayer master (Boss master) that will assign boss tasks only
    Unlock BOFA & Saeldor recolor kits inside combat achievement store for 10m each (black & red colors not included)
    guaranteed double superior dragon bones at vorkath


    Onyx:

    1) Complete a regular raid under 25 minutes (solo)
    2) Complete 50 regular cox
    3) Complete at least one challenge mode raid (solo or with friends)
    4) Kill Zulrah faster than 1:10
    5) Kill vorkath faster than 1:20
    6) kill hydra faster than 1:30
    7) kill jad faster than 26 minutes
    8] Obtain at least one pvm pet (any from the collection log)
    9) defeat zuk (allowed to use wave skip scroll)

    5m coins
    300k xp lamp (150k if x10, 50k if x5)
    3 extra slayer points per task completed
    additional 3% cox points boost
    double zulrah scales & 30% drop rate boost for mutagens
    Unlock black (kbd) dhcb recolor kit inside combat achievement store for 10m coins
    Unlock BOFA & Saeldor recolor kit inside combat achievement store for 20m each (black color like onyx)
    Unlock the jad slayer helm from combat achievement store for 10m coins

    Zenyte:


    1) Kill zulrah faster than 1:00
    2) Kill vorkath faster than 1:10
    3) kill hydra faster than 1:25
    4) kill the grotesque guardians faster than 1:30
    5) defeat jad faster than 23 minutes
    6) complete regular cox 100 times
    7) complete 1 CM raid faster than the minimum required time (solo)
    8] Complete a solo regular raid under 20 minutes
    9) Complete CM raid within the required time for your group 5 times (solo or friends)
    10) Complete zuk from wave 1 to 69 


    Reward:
    10m coins
    500k xp lamp (250k if x10, 125k if x5)
    5 extra slayer points per task completed
    additional 5% cox points boost
    another slayer task block slot
    additional 10% pet drop rate boost for all pvm bosses in-game
    Unlock Zuk helm from combat achievement store for 25m coins
    Unlock Recolor kit (red) for bofa & saeldor in the combat achievement store for 20m coins each
    Unlock a custom (orange) zenyte skin color for your character in-game (free)
    Your inferno wave will automatically start at wave 31 from now on

    Once we get tob & more content we could also have $10,000 donator rank added and final challenges + rewards added as well.

  5. Want old players to potentially return that were bored with nothing to do?
    Maybe even new players stay for longer?
    Why not start off with easy changes that doesn't require a new highly skilled & experienced dev.


    Pet drop rates are too difficult and again there's no point grinding them on a private server with same rarity as OSRS.
    Pets are fun to grind, a nice flex & also an important part of the collection log.
    This will give long term players more content/goals without getting insanely burned out but still a realistic long term goal because at current rates nobody will ever get all of the pets.
    Even after this update it would be extremely challenging & time consuming.
    Also pets do not have a negative impact on the economy or any other part of the game, so why not?


    Gwd pets + corp pet + dks pets currently 1/5000 and my suggestion:

    1/3500 for everyone.
    1/3000 for sapphire rank
    1/2800 emerald
    1/2600 ruby
    1/2400 diamond
    1/2200 dragonstone

    Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate how you explained why you AGREE or DISAGREE instead of only commenting your opinion without explaining why you think the way you do.

    Although I'd like to hear why you dislike custom coin drops (restricted to wilderness only) because that place isn't rewarding enough at the moment.

    Giving unrealistic high alch prices isn't really any different because that's "custom" too in a way at least but that was something that you were willing to support, how come 😮 ?

    I for example would very much like to see magic seeds being a "decent" drop but right now you're lucky to sell them slowly 10-20k each which is nothing when you can vote daily for a much better reward in matter of seconds. Of course that's because we have faster xp rates and not too many players decide to go for 200m or player on 10x/5x which leads to them dropping in price due to low demand.

    I think it's only fair to give magic seed (example) high alch price of 100k so that people that wish to buy them in the g/e would have to offer maybe 105-110k at least.

I've been seeing lots of people discuss and complain about lower tier items not having enough demand & certain supplies that can't be sold which is why I've been thinking about these issues and I have an idea how to solve this issue but also get two birds with one stone by getting a better cash flow into the game that will stabilize the economy in the longer run:

    As we all know RSPS & OSRS can't really be compared with each other due to different xp rates & drop rates which creates different kind of supply & demand compared to OSRS but that doesn't mean we can't have a balanced & healthy economy.

    We could have more money going around in the economy but holding cash is the smartest thing to do 90% of the time due to constant
    double donations, double drops & mass events that require 0 kc for gwd where spawn timers are lowered by 90% as well that gives artificial supply of items into the economy which ends up killing the real demand which leads to the items crashing in price due to 5 players selling the same item while nobody wants to or even needs to buy it.

    So I suggest that from now on we do this to STABILIZE the economy:

    1) Stop double donations, maybe do it once or twice a year. We could have 25% or 50% donation boost every now and then which would stabilize things.

    2) Stop double drops, maybe do it once or twice a year. Certain items & supplies could be exceptions if there's an increased demand due to an update or some other reason. For example Zulrah scales, abyssal whips (thinking about TOB tent charges) & maybe if we have an increased player amount and there's suddenly a bigger demand for COX prayer scrolls they could be doubled if it can be justified in a proper way.

    ^ Having double drops makes people very active for those events but ends up killing the fun in general in the long run because people make way more money & end up achieving what they want faster than normally and have less stuff to do in-game which leads to boredom and players being inactive or even worse gambling/quitting.

    People get too spoiled & used to everything being doubled so when drops are normal again they just afk and don't play the game because they can just wait for the next double event.

    Just let the economy be the way it is in terms of items, getting artificially involved won't do any good for the economy, especially not in the long run.

    If there's a demand for something the price will go up meaning that specific boss gives better gp/hour than before which will lead people to that place to supply the demand until the price does go down in a natural way. This will be much healthier for the economy.

    So I suggest that we do the following changes to SUPPORT the economy: (At least temporarily) & keeping tracking the data and then adjust things if necessary

    Certain things have absolutely no demand or then the demand is so small that people are desperate enough to sell the stuff for any amount just as long as it sells.

    We need a high alch price or wilderness shop paying these amounts for the following things:


    Dragonstone bolt tips: 250 each
    Yew logs: 200 each
    Magic logs: 500 each
    Revenant ether: 200 each
    Yew seed: 50k each
    Magic seed: 100k each
    Palm seed: 75k each
    Dragonfruit seed: 150k each
    Mahogany plank: 1000 each
    Uncut onyx/Onyx/Amulet of fury: 1m
    Dragon boots: 300k
    Dragon pickaxe: 2m
    Arcane scroll: 10m
    Dex scroll: 20m

    (I may have more items & supplies on my mind but this is dipping my toe in the water to test and see opinions before I potentially make a longer list)

    This will also help the economy:

    1) Callisto, venenatis & vet'ion should have a guaranteed 100k coins drop each kill.

    2) Revenants need to have DOUBLED Dragon & Rune items like OSRS + we could make the exchangeable & high alchable emblems slightly more common drop.

    3) Add Wilderness caskets (obtainable only from wilderness slayer) and they would work the following way or something similar:

    Introduction: 3 different tiers (1,2,3) they are tradable + stackable in the inventory & dropped on death to the player who kills them.

    A) Tier 1: Random 50-100k coins on open (Ruby rank get 5% boost, Dstone 10%, Onyx 15%, Zenyte 20%) obtained from slayer monsters: EVERYWHERE (1/20 chance)

    B) Tier 2: Random 125-150k coins on open (Ruby rank get 5% boost, Dstone 10%, Onyx 15%, Zenyte 20%) obtained from slayer monsters: +20 deep (1/30 chance)

    C) Tier 3: Random 150-200k coins on open (Ruby rank get 5% boost, Dstone 10%, Onyx 15%, Zenyte 20%) obtained from slayer monsters: +30 deep (1/50 chance)

    If all of the boost %, wilderness level restrictions etc can't be done or if it's too difficult I can suggest a more simple idea but this was simply to give an example of what I had in my mind.

    Deeper wilderness = better caskets (risk = reward) which is the whole idea of wilderness no matter what you do there.

    Those drop rates & amounts of money were simple examples, they don't necessarily need to be that "high" but it's only to give an example.

    Those donator rank boosts aren't a must do thing but just an idea as well.

    Finally we need to make RESOURCE AREA & ROGUES CASTLE THIEVING much more profitable. They are 100% dead content right now.

    You'll make more money almost anywhere in the game meanwhile having 0 risk of losing your money that you've made. That's only risk but 0 reward right now.

  9. We need some more changes to the wilderness & more boosts so I truly hope that this is something that will be heard but also worked on and hopefully fairly soon.

     

    Revenant cave: Remove ankou spot & replace them with more revenants, they can be killed at a different spot in the wilderness anyway just like the ice giants that were removed.

    Changes to the revenant drop table that I highly recommend doing:

    Battlestaff amount: 10-30 (currently), make it 20-50 instead. (Crafting xp + more gp into the game via alching) & making the gp/hour at revs slightly better.
    Onyx bolt tips amount should be increased from 5-10 to 15-30 instead
    Blood/Law/Death rune amount should be increased from 80-200 to at least 150-300, if not 200-400.
    Double ALL of the dragon & rune items on the revenant drop table so it's in line with OSRS & also gives a positive increase in the gp/hour.
    Basic coin drop is currently 50-500 gp per revenant, this needs to be increased to at least 2000-5000 coins.
    The new coin drop currently is 1/66 drop rate and the amount is 100-250k coins, change this to 1/50 & 250-400k coins.

     

    anc emblem: 1/1466             (change to 1/1000)
    anc totem: 1/1760                 (change to 1/1000)


    anc statuette: 1/2200, 1/770 if skulled. change to 1/1500 & 1/650
    anc medallion: 1/4400 & 1/1540 if skulled. change to 1/2000 & 1/750


    anc effigy: 1/8800, 1/3080 if skulled. change to 1/2500 & 1/1000
    anc relic: 1/8800, 1/3080 if skulled. change to 1/2500 & 1/1000

     

    1. Rogue's castle thieving is obviously now better than before but still definitely worth doing, dead content since the release. (Make it much better gp/hour + supplies)

    2. Resource area noted ores etc was nice but nowhere near enough to make it worthwhile, something needs to be done about this area as well.

    3. Mage arena battle-mages are 100% dead content, something needs to be done about this as well.

    4. Larran's chest is extremely bad loot & the keys from slayer are rare as well, dead content as of now. Something needs to be done.

    5. Bounty Hunter shop is also fairly weak & useless as of now, something needs to be done.

    6. Mage bank in general is really dead meanwhile it's the most dangerous place in the wilderness because you can't teleport out without a lever which makes it extremely dangerous yet this place isn't rewarding at all in any kind of way.

    ^will give options & different solutions for each of those (1-6) if there's hope for these things to get updated & boosted.

    These would be nice updates to have not only for the wilderness itself but also meanwhile waiting for TOB so you can have a break and do some other updates instead of only focusing on TOB, could be nice variety to dev.

    1. Poll every 2-3 weeks and each poll should last one week.

    4. We need more donator perks & donator shop stuff & $10,000 rank. (Nothing too OP though) I'm willing to help with ideas.

    5. Difficult question because it should maybe be slightly different depending on what's polled and this might be a weird comment but I can't explain or argue it right now but I don't think we should have a % set in stone, however I think it should be on average around 60% but maybe 50-55% or 65-75% for certain polls.

    6. Skilling doesn't exist in wilderness besides maybe black chins but nobody really does them. We need to give more motivation for people to skill in wilderness for example:

    A) Rogues chest in rogues castle for wilderness thieving (blood runes,death runes,runite bar,runite ore,addy bar,addy ore,crystal shards,coins,red spider egg,crushed nest,zammy wine & more.

    B) woodcutting/mining for x2 faster shards in wildy & maybe decent coins on the side. Also crystal fishing in wildy 

    C) if my suggestion about demonic gorillas in deep wildy happens with 25-33% zen shard boost they could also drop decent coins + skilling supplies

    D) Could boost wildy bosses skilling supply drops + for revs as well.

    E) hunting black chins should also give crystal shards + maybe coins but that's optional.

    Another random suggestion give at least 24 hours notice before an update happens and what it will contain. This gives people time to prepare for it, so they wouldn't log in where they where killing ankou in the rev caves and start getting piled by revs that where not there previously.

    Instead make the ankous & other monsters in revenant cave NOT AGGRESSIVE or simply put revs around the whole cave & move the monsters somewhere else.

    Ankous exist at 28 wildy deep graveyard as well!

    I've given probably 80% good feedback and 20% bad feedback to Gepan & Grant and it's all deserved both the good and bad.

    I personally think I've been more than fair, I will be straight and say when I love or like something but I will also make it very clear if I think something isn't good or if something isn't going the right direction because honest feedback is the only way to get things done whether it's positive or negative feedback. Gepan & Grant can't read our minds even though they both are two very smart individuals & very good at what they do, which is why we need to open up and give constructive but honest feedback.

    I agree that QA testing is important but it's not required for every single update & some things can't be tested anyway if it's not being worked on yet.

    Sure many of the updates I've suggested are ones that I want but I don't only focus on that, I try to focus on what will make the game better for the current players but also potentially open a bigger door for new players/returning players.

    Not sure which updates or what type of updates you're referring to when you're speaking about "business" perspective & "community" perspective.

    I'd say that we've had a fair amount of decent updates that have been right for this community but if we're looking at things from a business point of view I don't think there has been many at least not significant ones for quite a while.

    If you're focused on updates from a business perspective then the best ones are the ones that will bring more players that lead to more revenue & profit =

    TOB, GIM, PVP/Wildy, construction itself may not be the most crucial update but it might make the game look more advanced & finished rather than half done so looking at construction from that way makes it a fairly important update.

    ^ popular updates that other servers have including OSRS will lead to more content for everyone which opens the door for a bigger audience + makes the game look more complete.

    Guess this is still off topic but I couldn't resist so..

    You're right, staff or whoever you may be in this community it doesn't mean you're above or under someone, we're all equal.

    My point was that you're a member of the staff team and that usually leads to people having more trust & faith in you compared to the average player which is why it's extremely important that when you do say something it's backed up by facts or at least that you're able to provide necessary evidence to prove that it indeed is a fact.

    I don't doubt that if you or someone else on the staff team fucks up that they will be punished accordingly, I've seen that happen with my own eyes.

    I agree that everyone's equal but just to explain things from my point of view:

    I like to think or see staff as some sort of "parents" of Zenyte and that obviously still means that they're equal to everyone else but they do work for free that majority of the players do not want to do and they do it for the greater good of the server and even if they're equal I just simply believe that if you like & respect the server you should at least have the decency to think twice before insulting the people (staff) that are trying to make the gaming experience better for everyone. Giving staff a hard time for no reason isn't going to benefit anybody, quite the opposite it might de-motivate them more from doing the work that helps everyone. I wouldn't call it a smart move to bite the hand that is feeding you.

    I only wanted to correct you because I think it's unfair for someone in a high position as yourself to make such a claim without the capability to prove it and due to your position there's people that might believe what you said without double checking the facts. 

    Again, everyone's entitled to have any opinion they want & no hate on you or anything. I'd just prefer if we would stick to facts here.

    It's not about if I can or can't, it's the fact that I don't need to since I wasn't the one claiming that it's based on facts or statistics.

    Having an opinion about slayer pets being the potential reason for increased player count is one thing since everyone's entitled to have an opinion whether it's right or wrong but claiming it's based on statistics isn't maybe the most smart & fair thing to do unless you can prove it and I'm telling you right now, you or anybody else (including Matt) can't prove it.

    Again, everyone's free to believe what they want, nothing wrong about that.

    As I said and was confirmed by Matt in his post, only Grant can code on big updates such as ToB which is really the only sort of update that can give the player count a noticeable boost, meanwhile smaller updates like Slayer pets can give us something to grind for if we have nothing to do. It's not what most people want, but it's easy to make and quick.

    I don't think vote shop/donator shop/bh shop would necessarily increase player count but instead it would keep more of the current players satisfied at least for a while.

    That's why those would be fairly good to do.

    Well to be fair there's 0 evidence for that and if your statistics are based on player amount increased after that update then it's no real statistics because there's no way to prove it's because of that update & not other reasons. 

    Either way even if it was a fact then there's the issue that many other updates that are by far more wanted & useful would bring even more players which leads slayer pet update not as attractive compared to the other options.

    Once we have majority of the important stuff done then that's the right time to start doing updates like that.
