    Thanks guys,

Yamato I tried it and you're correct, you need to run a bit further for red phase, also to avoid the lightning it is possible and easy with my tile markers in the video. Done about 80 more KC since the video and I have avoided it every time. The trick is to run when the lightning that would reach you first is 2 tiles away, if you time it to that it will never hit you.

Every time I try that it just hits me halfway there, or it still hits me on that tile marker. I guess I'm just shit at the timing haha. But I've tried it enough times that I just find it more reliable for me to run that extra couple spots lol.

  2. I'd also like to point out that at least on Zenyte, and as shown in your video, the red Hydra having one foot on the blue vat isn't enough to negate his defenses. He always does the "Argghhhh" thing when it does and in both of your runs he doesn't. Plus you can also just tell that your damage during the red phase is much less.

I've found that I just have to lower my tile marker on the far west side to make him step a little farther down onto the blue vat.

  3. Great guide! For me the lightning attack always hits me if I only go as far as where your tile marker is (which is the same tile marker for most guides). I've tried holding off on running away from the lightning as long as possible but it still hits me, or I wait too long and it hits me before I make it halfway across the room. So here's what works for me in case anyone else has the same problem: When the Hydra first shoots the lightning in the middle of the room, a couple seconds later you'll see some lightning shoot somewhat near you from that middle spot where he initially shot it. When that happens I start running, and the lightning is on my ass, and I first run to the tile marked in this video. But when I get close, I click on the tile diagonal to the marked one just a little farther away. The lightning never hits me using this method.

Other than that, my experience is the same with all the other parts. Thanks for the great video!

  4. Welcome! That's pretty impressive to have already learned those things while still learning Runescape in general. I had extensive past experience but didn't dwell into those things until after I maxed 😅. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the server and will be around for awhile. See you in-game!

You will simply learn how to do it better when you've got the rotations down. You won't have to think of what's coming next then, which you currently do and you have to stand still and wait. Once you know, you can automatically run to the next place as soon as it dips whilst changing gear/prays and miss out on no attacking time.

When I first started it I had the diagrams on half of my computer screen and RS on the other half of my screen lol. It just takes practice you already seem comfortable switching gears and prayers (jad); which was totally new to me so my first half dozen trips were worse than this lol. Seems to me you just need to learn the order of each phase and where to stand and you'll be solid.

Also, void/elite void is a very inexpensive but effective setup to use.

You're no stranger around here. It's so true no one ever quits this game. I quit back in like 2009 and this is my first time back and already 500 hours on this server. I fucking love it haha. My fiance hates it 😂.

  7. I like a few of them but I'd probably have to say Sparc Mac for the humor lol. Asukayen has some really good guides bossing.

Edit: Ohhh I saw that you said not rsps related so I thought you meant just not for private servers but it would seem you meant any YouTuber in general lol.

In that case, my favorite is probably Nicks Strength and Power.

  8. Wow, outstanding effort and quality! Something everyone will find useful, especially newer players. A note you may want to add to ape atoll: I just recently discovered you can get the monkey greegree to turn into a monkey so you can freely roam and talk to the store NPCs. You just have to buy the monkey talisman from the rune store monkey (which you can as a human easily if you approach him from the south) and bring it, plus 100k gp, all the way to the NPC at the end of the ape atoll dungeon.

Thanks again for putting in the time to make this guide!

  9. Hey everyone! I've been playing for about 2 weeks now. Just thought I'd make a post introducing myself. My username is Yamato69, a username I've been using since I first started RS in 2004. I actively played through 2009 reaching max combat and was a member of the clan Dark Slayers. Since my account was converted to RS3 I've had no desire to play. Like most of us, I miss playing OSRS and wanted to but being an adult these days doesn't leave nearly as much to grind away. I started searching for private servers and here I am! The 50x/25x is perfect for my situation. I love being able to enjoy the game while making good progress. Edgeville is especially convenient now with the teleport portal.

Overall I love it here and I'm very happy to be enjoying the game I fell in love with again!
