    Community Poll - The Resource Market

     

    Hello Community Members,

    The Management Team and and Senior Staff Team have received a lot of feedback from members of our community (both veterans and current members) regarding the lack of resources in-game and a slight decrease in the amount of coins to items in-game. We have decided to tackle both of these temporarily by releasing a Resource Market Place this will allow you to sell all your resources (ores, fish, logs, herblore supplies, etc) for a set price. 


    You will also be able to buy supplies (a limit of 25,000 to 50,000 per month) for the entire player base at a 25%-30% increase. This will also have some supplies currently not able to be obtained in-game or extremely rare such as vials of blood and Zamorak grapes. 

    All of the coins will be redistributed into the buying of resources and will not be considered a gold sink. This system as of now will only be temporary.


    The way we plan for it to work is a topic will be created on the forums for a list of items with buy/sell prices the Administration will have access to a specific account to conduct the trades. This will protect against merchants and other issues alike.

    The suggestion as a whole will be polled as a yes - no but if you would like something specific changed please comment below!

    In my opinion, and don't take this wrong, sometimes staff can be very strict, i've seen a couple of arguments been held in "help chat" that were finished with players being kicked, when the subject itself wasnt no big deal, not very game related but still i think that you should try to reinforce the "comunity spirit" and not so much as a "dictatorship" as sometimes it seems to be.

    How do you feel the Staff Team is performing since you have joined Zenyte?

    There was one event that didnt started at the scheduled hour, nor was the admin in charge of it online at that time. was a Pest Control event.

    For me was irrelevant but the new players realy enjoy these events, expecially the minigames, winterlot pest control and such, not having an event start on time can be very demotivating for new commers witch we want to atract and mantain.

    I am extremely grateful that you have came forward and spoke your mind this has been something I personally have been looking into over the last couple of weeks.  Your feedback is always welcome under my leadership and never feel like you can't message me personally or our Head of Staff (V Iking) if you feel an issue isn't addressed properly. We also have a Report a Staff section and I personally review every report!

They should obviously be in inventory and not in the looting bag. I guess we could use the sell noted and buy unnoted trick in Rimmington, but that would still just be a nice QoL thing. I don't play OSRS so I have no idea if that's how it is, I just remember seeing videos of UIMs chopping Oak right outside of their house to train construction.

    Report a Player and Staff Reports 



    Hello Community,

    I have recently been in discussion with members of the Staff Team and I would like to address some of the issues that have risen from members of our community in this reminder thread.  A Moderator is not required to react to every situation that occurs in-game because they have a lot of additional responsibilities such as bot-busting, bug testing, events, and many other non-disclosures.  If you are being insulted or disrespected by another player it is your responsibility to report this player in our report a player section of discord. 

    I have instructed our Moderators to start directing players to submit reports instead of investigating situations instantaneously and issuing punishments. This provides for a more thorough investigation and relieves some stress from our moderators.  So if a Moderator requests that you submit a player report they are not trying to ignore your immediate concern however want to ensure your case gets the necessary attention and investigation it requires.

    I have also recently received a few reports from our moderators and administrators that we have a handful of repeat offenders whom have been pushing issues just far enough that it's become a nuisance however don't quite overstep the line.  This type of behavior is not acceptable and I have instructed them to start disciplining these individuals as seen fit.  So if your one of those players who take enjoyment out of annoying members of the Staff Team I would strongly discourage it. You will no longer be welcome on the server if it continues. 

    The final reminder is we have a system set in place for reporting members of the Staff Team. It has become way to frequent that there is drama in the help CC, discord, and DMs about what so and so moderator or administrator has done.  I review and handle all Staff Reports and I feel that I do so fairly so if you have a complaint or a issue with a member of the Staff Team please give me the decency and respect and report them for I can handle the situation professionally and promptly before getting other members of the community involved.  You can find this section located here.

    Community Poll - Loyalty Shop and More!

      We would like to poll a few questions for our February 2021 update:

    Question 1:  Should a player obtain godsword shards in numerical order for drops?  You will not get a duplicate shard until you have received all 3.

    Question 2:  Should we add a item that will allow a player to lose their skull instantly if consumed? There will be no immunity period and it would cost around 20 vote points.  (An example of a use would be at revenants when your skulled killing them.  You can use one to protect 3-4 items depending on your prayer)

    Question 3:  Should we allow a temporary solution for giant seaweed farming?  The solution would be to add the spores into numerous monster drop tables and master farmers thieving table.  We would also make the giant seaweed patch accessible however the rest of the underwater area would not be accessible due to under development.

    No problem and to give you an ideal response to that a player if they use all their points on clue scrolls would be able to obtain for example 30-35 mediums in a 1 month period which in reality is nice if you don't need any other consumables but other tasks may be way more beneficial if your collecting clues as a primary task. The vote shop was never meant to be a one-stop-shop for any skilling/player gain. It is unfortunate that most clue hunting today is actually just utilizing Sherlock notes however that in itself I believe was a great addition for players who don't like doing clue hunting as much.

    Hello Palme and H0ax,

    This was something that was mentioned during the discussion and they will be implemented at a vote point rate of something similar to 3-6-8 which would mean on average someone would only be able to obtain 1 medium clue a day if voting twice a day.  We are currently not siting at a stage that I believe adding the clue scrolls to the vote store would have any significant difference.  I actually took on the task of analyzing this and realized there is actually players who vote simply to collect the clue scrolls, buy the Sherlock notes for GP on alternative accounts and farm 10+ clue scrolls a day.


    We need to remember that clue scrolls are not something that are super rare in themselves they can be obtained within the fact of 30 minutes from monster drops. We are placing them at a price tag of for example 6 vote points making that a 24 hour cost if your understanding that logic.

    Vote Shop Rework

          We have recently been in discussion with a rework for a vote shop and here is the proposal we would like to bring forward:


    We would like to add the following items to the vote store:

    1. Clue Box - This will allow you to safely store your clue in the wilderness
    2. Ecumenical Key
    3. Easy Clue Scroll
    4. Medium Clue Scroll
    5. Hard Clue Scroll
    6. Inferno Scroll  - This will allow you to start the Inferno on wave 31 for example
    7. Kraken Teleport
    8. Cerberus Teleport

    13. $5.00 bond (untradeable)

    We will be removing the following items from the vote store: (They will be added elsewhere including loyalty shop)

    I just wanted to make a post congratulating the manager @Gepan for literally saving Zenyte when everyone else walked away. It takes a special kind of person to take charge during times of adversity and an even more special person to create positive change during those situations. Matt has gone above and beyond what I personally though was capable for Zenyte in recent months and I wanted to make sure that is publicly recognized. The senior management team, including @Jakeyall have done a fantastic job collaborating and implementing changes that have been overwhelmingly positive within the community and they deserve tons of praise. What an incredible job you guys have done and I hope you continue to keep making Zenyte the special place that it has always been.

    I wanted to say thank you on behalf of myself and the team! We have been working extremely hard for the players of our community and as you said creating a positive change in such a situation was not easy but we was able to climb hurdles and reach the peak of the mountain with support, dedication, and a overwhelming amount of will from our staff team.  We will be looking forward to continue pushing forward.  We really do appreciate feedback from players and members such as yourself! Thank you for taking the time to write out this topic.

    Gambling and Middleman

     

    Hello Community,

          There has been a lot of requests as of late for a improvement on the gambling system, middleman requests, and overall transparency with games of chance. I have had a discussion with some of our Staff Team and there seems to be a split on our approach. We had a poll a month back inquiring about adding middlemen, a forum for vouches, and unfortunately with that poll we did not get sufficient feedback (less then 30 people voted)  I would like to repoll this suggestion with a little more detail on what we as a Staff Team and Management Team would like to propose: 

     

    1.) We will add a section on the forums for gambling (this will have rules and guidelines set by server management) as well as information on the games of chance we allow on Zenyte.

    2.) We will add a section on the forums for vouches (this will be a place for players to vouch for other players) this will be monitored by the Staff Team to make sure people are not vouching for themselves for example.

    3.) There will be an application process for an "Official Middleman" status with strict requirements. They will also have to submit a form of collateral by donation or in-game payment. They will have access to the dice bag, and a discord role.  There will be no in-game position for middleman.  A middleman will also agree that any form of scam will be an automatic IP ban without a possible chance of appeal. (They will also forfeit all collateral and the scammed party will be compensated)
