Zulrah
in PvM Guides
2 hours ago, Kris said:Looks good. Noticed an issue with pathfinding at the end of the video, kept running you towards Zulrah. Not 100% sure if it's an issue but I'll have a look at it, if it is I'll be sure to patch it.
Also fixed up your defence icon size, appeared massive.
Yeah its either that or i was standing in the wrong spot. Theres a bit of a pathfinsing issue when targeting an npc around a corner thats 1 square to the left/right
and 1square up so you run towards the npc instead of "safe spotting" it. (As far as that goes)

Different Phases of ZulrahWhen Starting Zulrah, This is the phase that you will encounter first, and will start in the north (center). Zulrah will attack with ranged only, with a few exceptions such as dealing with a JAD in the second rotion. These will appear at the end of every phase in their selective patterns. While in this form, Use Mage Based Attacks.
What is a jad?JAD phase is when zulrah will alternate at random between Ranged and Maged Attacks and you will have to pray accordingly. These are in every rotation near the end of the rotation.
in the diagram below you'll notice that near the end of each Rotation, there is a RM and MR (Range/Mage) (Mage/Range). These are the orders of what prayer should be used first in the Rotation. an Easy way to remember is that Rotation Alpha(i) & Beta(ii) Have RM and Charlie(iii) & Delta(iv) have MR. If you can detect which phase you are on when fighting this will help you determine which prayers to use first.
In this form, Zulrah will randomly attack with both ranged and mage, but favors Magic. Praying Mage is favorited in this phase, Seeing a ranged attack in this phase is quite uncommon so switching is not normally used as the phase only lasts for a short period of time before rotating. While in this form, Zulrah gains increased magic resistance.
Use Mage Based attacks. The Melee Phase of Zulrah has an attack that will happen twice each magma phase that will stun you if hit, dealing up to 30 damage. and you will not be able to move for a moment, but enough to be able to prepair for his next melee attack.
These Attacks can be avoided however. When you see the animation, to what looks to be him winding up for the attack- Stand in Spot 1
- Watch for Charge back
- Stand in Spot 2
- Watch for Swing
- Return to Spot 1
(This works for both sides) Prayers are not normally used in this phase so turning them off to save prayer will be beneficial to save supplies.
Zulrah Spawns
When you see Zulrah spitting white, This is not an attack to pray against, these are Snakeling spawns that zulrah will summon during each Rotation. Despite that their combat level is 90, their hitpoint value is 1, so killing them is fairly easy. But that doesnt mean you shouldn't deal with them. They can deal up to 15 damage very often, and zulrah spawns more than just 1 or 2 in a Rotation, and without precautions, will envenom. These Snaklings attack with both Magic and melee.
While Snakelings spawn immediately as they touch the map, Zulrah will occasionally throw a white orb and then dive, switching into the next phase.
To Easily deal with the Snakeling spawns, Equipt a Ring of recoil or a Ring of Suffering that has been charged with Recoils to kill off the snakelings as the damage they do to you will reflect back on them, killing them instantly.Note:
The summoned snakeling will not appear until Zulrah's Phase switch is completed. If you are hiding from Zulrah (by being on the complete opposite side or out of its draw distance)
Zulrah will begin to throw additional snakelings, it is best to kill them off so you will save some food in the process, using the tips above. If youre hiding from Zulrah (an act of safe spotting behind the pillars), Zulrah throws toxic fumes and summons even more additional snakelings, so dealing with the snakelings turn into a priority if to many spawn as with the damage stacking of each snakeling hitting you as well as Zulrah, you may find yourself into a quick death.
Rotations
NOTE: if you're new to Zulrah, have this side by side of your client to aid you in your attempts

Here is a projected 1000 Zulrah kills. These drop rates are very similar to OSRS, but this is not Exact. Just a random Generated kill log on drops based on the current drop rates- 7

The names Echo.
Age of 23 with a love for graphic design, Long walks on the beach, and reading through 100's of lines of CSS to find that a colon was used instead of a semicolon.
I'm a simple man, don't have exotic things, no luxury apart from not having to pay for my photoshop applications. Thanks Billy for the assist
Im a hands on learner, but even with two hands i end up picking it up and setting it down to do something else when i get sick of it.But that is all about me thats generally necessary for a "intro" Don't need to post my E-Harmony Profile here so if any further questions or you just wish to chat.
