[Medium clue guide]

Method #1: Stone Chests

Requirements: 64 thieving (90+ thieving, 34 crafting recommended). 
Location: Portal -> Skilling -> Farming Guild -> Run south

Set up your camera in a way that allows you to click on two stone chests without moving your mouse. Open them until you fill your inventory, keep valuable stackables (fangs, coins, onyx bolt tips...) and drop everything else (cloth, seeds).  There's a 1/300 chance to get a xeric's talisman that you can dismantle for 100 fangs. Med clues are 1/100.

Cut the gems for free crafting xp, fletching xp and even more bolt tips, or just drop everything for more chests per hour.
 
You might fail at opening the chests depending on your thieving level (chest just won't open or you get teleported out of the dungeon). All I know about this is that at 99 thieving you can't fail to open them.

Yield: around 9 medium clues and 6.5m/2.6m/1.3m theiving xp per hour. 

 

Method #2: Eclectics in Puro-Puro

Requirements: 79 magic for Hunter Kit spell (or around 20 impling jars), bind, snare and entangle; 50+ hunter; nature, water and earth runes (rune pouch recommended)
Location: Spiritual Fairy Tree -> Zanaris -> Go northeast
 
Cast Hunter Kit in lunar spellbook and drop unnecessary items until you have around 21 impling jars (keep one butterfly net).
Look for "Implings" in runelite settings: 

There are 4 eclectic spawns in Puro-Puro but, before camping one of them, we must get a magic butterfly net.
Catch 3 gourmet implings, 2 earth implings and 1 essence impling and trade Elnock Inquisitor at the center of Puro-Puro. 

 

This new net increases our chances of successfully catching the impling by 7.8% (a high hunter level helps as well).
Now it's time to camp a spawn: use bind/snare/entangle as soon as it spawns or whe it flies away from you. 


Catch and open the implings, keep the noted gold bars, oak planks and addy ores you're gonna get. Medium clues are 1/25. Each time you open and impling there's a chance your jar will be consumed. When you have 7 jars left, catch any implings (baby, gourmet, youngs) and trade them for 3 empty jars each at Elnock Inquisitor (at the center), that will give you 21 empty jars to start catching eclectics again. Eclectics spawn every 10 seconds.

Yield: Around 14 medium clues and 280k/115k/57k hunter xp per hour.

Method #3: Fally Guards

Requirements: Willingness to spend cannonballs on your med clue grind, cannonballs, dwarf cannon and Medium Falador Diary completed, range gear. (Blowpipe recommended).
Location: Portal -> Cities -> Falador

 Set your cannon here and start killing the guards.

Yield: If done efficiently clue/hour rate should be similar to stone chests. Around 8 an hour.

 

Efficient med clue solving setup

Max cape is useful for: POH teleports such as Taverley, Relleka, Brimhaven and Pollivneach; fishing teleport to Otto's grotto; warrior's and crafting guild teleport. Alternative: Use home portal for skilling/minigames/cities teleports to these locations.

Xeric's talisman for Glade and Lookout teleports. Alternative: home portal - traning - sand crabs or use fairy ring.

Tome of fire grants unlimited fire runes for non-combat spells. Alternative: just bring fire runes.

Rada's blessing 4 for unlimited Mount Karluum teleport. Alternative: fairy ring at home.

Mud battlestaff for unlimited water and earth rune supply.  Alternative: just bring water/earth runes.

Full graceful for run energy. Alternative: recharge run at clan wars/home chest/nardah altar

Dueling ring for castle wars step. Alternative: home portal - minigames - duel arena

Glory for draynor and karamja steps. Alternative: home portal - cities - draynor

Combat bracelet for ranging guild step. Alternative: home portal - skilling - fishing guild

Slayer ring for slayer tower/nieve steps. Alternative: home portal - training - slayer tower/spirit tree

Royal seed pod (configured to grand tree) for northwest (near toads) gnome stronghold step. Alternative: Spirit tree at home

The green necklace is the necklace of passage, an enchanted jade necklace that gives us a quick teleport to the rare step west of training camp. Alternative: Home portal - training -ogres

Ring of wealth is super useful for the song steps in fally park. Alternative: home portal - cities - falador

Spade and whip for digging and killing npcs. Alternative: d scim.

Ardy cloak 4 for unlimited monastery teleport. Alternative: fairy ring at home

Frem boots 4  for unlimited Relleka teleport. Alternative: home portal - cities - relleka

Air, bloods, cosmics, laws and astrals for most if not all teleport spells in the game (with mud staff and tome) and spellbook swap spell (lunar spellbook set as default). 96 magic requirement. Using this spell is highly recommended.
