    Lol, I'm really not too good with signatures and stuff like this to be honest, I'm only as good as I am because I spent the majority of my last 12 years working in this program lol, and for that, it's really bad imho. Lol.

    Prefer version 1 to any of them. The thick black borders are killing it for me on the other two. I'm not 100% sure the text blends extremely well either, very grungey for a very clean non-textured background. 
    Also, consider removing the white glow on the top of head that hangs over your background. 

    Cool work though. 😉 Keep it up man.

    I always sucked with smudge tags, so good work on this. 🙂

    Not the biggest fan of that "Neptune" one but I can tell you were venturing outside of your comfort zone on that, so credits for that. 🙂

I'm a marketing and social media manager for a business in my city and have been able to increase sales immensely ever since I started working there. Want to know how? Incentives. Nobody wants some lousy award that you hover over that just says "Good job you've been used as cheap labor!" They want the recognition that the rank would get them. 

    On this post I'm simply asking for an introduction of the rank, I would flesh out all the ideas completely if it were to get any traction by staff members. I'm willing to volunteer my own time for free to set up competitions, events, etc. 

    Also to the comment about "my little signature shop". Please don't patronize me. I only design online for people to give myself advantages in the games I play. Freelance Graphic Design stopped being worth it after 2014. That includes logos, signatures, advertisement banners, etc. (Unless you're hired on by a business being paid 4-5 figures)

    1) No one said anything about personal backgrounds.My mention of being a front end developer outside of Zenyte does not pertain to my real job, it pertains to services I do for other servers. I'm in the digital marketing business in real life.
    2) I'm simply saying, people designing signatures for their own personal gain should not be given a rank simply for doing so. Zenyte does not owe you for posting your work and selling sigs for ingame GP. That is your own personal endeavor. It's not worth an incentive. 
    3) I believe I've already touched base on how the "little signature shops" comment came out wrongly. I support anyone willing to trade their graphics for ingame incentive. I'm not patronizing you I just think it's chasing clout to ask for a rank just because you picked up a hobby. 

    This is a runescape private server. An RSPS needs to create incentives for pk activity, loyalty programs, event participation. Not for people to create signatures and sell them for ingame GP. As I said, if you design FOR the server, I could understand a rank a bit more, but even then I think the current system with the award being given for it works well enough, that's personal preference.

    Let's stop bouncing around my criticism of this idea and getting our feelings hurt please. I'm not criticizing any designer here, I'm saying myself included as a designer, I do not see the point in Zenyte creating an incentive for people to design. It is not the servers' responsibility to create artists.

    Thanks for your contributions but don't spoil something that boosts morale and forum growth due to your ego.. this is not R-S, it's a RSPS.

    You don’t know me very well so I would advise you didn’t call me out on my “ego”. I take pride in teaching other designers constantly, and I try my best to be humble with other designers. Hell, other designers teach me quite often as well. It’s a never ending learning experience, design is. Just because I’m not supporting this idea, does not mean I’m against people growing. I just think it’s, as you put it, ludicrous that people think there needs to be a rank created for something that an award does well for, but even if there was one, I stand by the fact that it should be for server contributions. Let’s not turn this into other servers with a million and one ranks. Me calling it a “little signature shop” was not how I intended it to seem by the way. I meant no offense in what i say, and if you take it any other way I deeply apologize for that. 

    If this goes through, I don’t mind to be honest, I’m just voicing my opinion of it. It has nothing to do with my “ego”. Be respectful, man.

    If that’s how you feel, I’m also a frontend developer outside of Zenyte. Maybe Zenyte should give me developer rank. 

    I don’t exactly see how I would be salty about this just because I have a colored name in Discord. A solid year and a half before zenyte released I designed here and didn’t even get the discord role. I got paid. Y’all should sell your sigs and get paid for it. That’s incentive. Then share those sold pieces of work with us, which in return advertises your little signature shop you got going on. 

    Again, not salty, for whatever reason, I just think an award will work better. If a rank was to happen, then it should be for those who have contributed to the server with their artwork. And that’s not to any offense, it just doesn’t contribute to the server so why should the server contribute to you.

    Do not support. But if y’alls Bickering about it makes it happen, I better get it. 

    I think ranks should be for contribution to the server, by donations, service of staff, or any other thing. Which is why i have the role in discord. Just because you design does not mean a rank should be created for it. 

    Awards for SOTM winnings maybe? But not a rank. And don’t use the argument “other RSPS’s do it”. If that is what Zenyte based it’s decisions on, it wouldn’t be what it is.

    by the way, as you see, official designers do get awards.
