[Zamorak/Bandos "Solo" Method Trips for Ironmen]

Hi all, after seeing many Ironmen struggle with that 70% rule in solo-ing trips for Bandos/Zammy items in Godwars, I thought of a new method for Iron Men to get their drops in the shower.

How does the method work?

This method works by having 3 accounts, either 1 ironman with 2 alts or 1 ironman with 2 friends. The ironman will be the main damage dealer on the boss to counter that 70% damage rule, while the 2 accounts work as Minion Tankers.

As the new instances update has brought upon a change in minion mechanics, minions will now hit whoever hits the boss during the fight.

Therefore, minion tankers should be on darts (rapid attack style) and wear a shield, as darts hit faster than melee hits, minion aggro will probably be focused on these 2 minion tankers with darts being shot at the boss, causing the damage dealer to in a sense, "1 v 1" the boss.

Note that: Managing 2 alts will be fine as the alts should be able to tank off the damage by the minions throughout the entire fight but definitely watch your health

Setups:

 

IRONMAN SETUP:

The setup for the ironman should be straightforward, just bring the best melee gear possible with food, pots, spec wep/whip, hammer, tabs and bones to peaches.

MINION TANKER SETUP:

The setup for your minion tankers should be the WORST possible ranged gear you have, as you do not want to damage the boss darts. Therefore, I recommend bronze darts as they will be the cheapest and safest bet you have in not inflicting damage on the boss. 

These minion tankers will also be required to bring their best damaging gear in inventory to clear all minions after the boss fight is over.

Execution:

Step 1: The ironman, being the primary attack dealer, has to use Protect for Melee (Same for both Zammy and Bandos) and proceed into the room whereby he/she engages the boss.

Step 2: Minion Tankers have to protect from ranged (Bandos) or magic (Zammy) and go in the room after the Ironman gets aggro with the boss. Minion tankers then proceeds to full-on aggro with their poor ranged equipment on the boss to keep the minions from harming the ironman.

 

 

Step 3: Do what you need to do for the boss fight. Once boss is down, clear the minions and repeat!

 

Tip: If Minion Tankers feel like they are doing too much damage on boss, drink sara brew to decrease ranged levels.
