    I suppose I can agree with the donation part since your argument was very reasonable & accurate.

    However the collection log part may seem unnecessary but if you think about it some people may actually feel more motivated to fill their collection log if there was a some sort of competition for it so if you look at it from that point of view it might be actually quite fun & cool for people that have completed most part of the game but still want to have something fun to do, some sort of "completion" on their account. In the end nobody will probably ever complete it since the pet drop rates here are as hard as 07 basically but that doesn't mean it can't be fun to follow people & their progress on collection log over hiscores.

    As far as a new tier goes, I wouldn't hold your breath. I don't think this is a priority as it stands due to the demand of Hunter reworks/Construction/Theatre Of Blood/Instances etc. It's a neat idea, don't get me wrong, but let's predominately focus on the outstanding changes that need to be made as apposed to implementing a rank that would only supply to a small portion of the server.
     

    Thank you for your response, I personally think that ALL donator ranks should have some new perks but we should also add two new donator ranks:

    $100 rank (jump between 50 & 200 is too much of a stretch at such an early stage of donations) & $10,000/$15,000 rank that I suggested.

    I also agree that nothing overpowered should even be on the table of discussion not for a second since this is a long term server that needs to be balanced & have a healthy fair economy that isn't pay to win but instead I suggested some cosmetics & unique stuff for a higher donator rank which in my point of view is more than fair compared to what other servers offer to high donators. Unique stuff such as cosmetics like ancestral recoloring & twisted slayer helm will not harm anybody + drake pet (like 5k zenyte rank gets wyrmy pet) 

    I agree that the Dev time should be invested into TOB & rest of that stuff but if you're going to implement stuff for current donator ranks it shouldn't be much additional work to add a new donator rank with almost similar perks but slightly better & a couple of unique things. I personally wouldn't even care if they would save dev time by just giving 10k/15k rank same perks as zenyte (for now) but a new donator logo/icon + twisted slayer helm + ancestral recoloring + drake pet. Rest of the perks/benefits could be added later when there's time for it. More bonds will be bought out = they go up in price and more of my money are being spread between other players = everyone is happy (especially the people donating for bonds in order to get cash) I personally just need something to keep myself going & motivated until stuff like TOB is released and this is something that would do it. Anyway I will continue to discuss this over Discord from this point forward

    I never saw the inferno part as a must but as a simple idea to add a donator perk that is at least decent.

    It's either $10,000 or $15,000 rank but I would recommend the 15k so that we don't need to add new donator ranks 24/7 but instead have one that is a little bit more expensive for a longer time. 10k would work fine too but I think 15k would be 10-20% better option

    The only reason you want these ranks is for your personal gain and has nothing to do with the server as a whole.

    1) Donator rank benefits have to and will stop at a certain extent but $5000 most definitely can't be the stop when it isn't expensive with in-game cash & the server is a long term game that will easily last for years. The server has only one direction and that is forward and the future needs to bring new stuff to keep people motivated/happy & entertained and a donator rank without anything overpowered definitely is a good thing because it'll continue to keep bonds valuable & people donating for bonds & selling them in-game which keeps the economy rolling stable & smooth. 

    2) Those benefits that I've suggested are mainly small boosts from lower donator ranks?

    3) Asking for too many benefits? the donators hardly get any benefits in general on this server & are fairly weak just like the small boosts that I'm suggesting.

    4) Personal gain? What am I going to gain out of this update besides a fresh donator rank that will be unique & something that other people can get as well?

    None of the stuff there is too good & the ancestral coloring / slayer helmet are cosmetics + 10m money sink each as well (I lose money, I don't gain)

    Meanwhile the server will gain more donations, bonds will remain valuable & useful which will make people to continue donating for money which keeps server running strong & developers both happy & motivated which means more high quality updates for players which is pretty much what everyone wants? Don't you see that everything is connected to each other?

    You're more than welcome to reply with counter arguments in order to change my mind why it wouldn't be a good idea to add this new donator rank.


  7. This suggestion isn't something that has to be rushed unless it's easy to do but it could be added whenever the devs have a free schedule for something like this:

    Hiscores for the following stuff:

    Boss kill count (Top 10 for each boss)
    Boss speed kill (Top 10 for each boss)
    Donation amount (Top 10 players)
    Pet amount (Top 10 pet holders)
    Clue scroll (Each clue scroll category separately top 10 & Top 10 overall clue scrolls completed)
    Collection log (Top 10 filled spots in the collection log)
     

    I personally think this would motivate players to play & grind even longer because of the competition that makes it more exciting & enjoyable (motivational boost)

    + just out of curiosity for people to scroll through different kind of hiscores with different kind of statistics 

    Thoughts?

    Now what if the total pot is x*y and there's x Amount of tickets sold and a z Amount of Tickets that are owned by the bank.

    That would hinder the 50 50 outcome and make it way more lottery based, where people spend money on it, in chance of hitting the pot which other players have contributed to. If it lands on a bank spot the money is gone from all the participants. Thus there's no money hoarding from rich players who can take higher stakes and there's a chance of a lucky reward. Not to mention this is in the long run a money drain, which can keep the economy healthy.

    Thank you for your feedback and you're right about the odds but I disagree that any tickets should be owned by the "bank" and possibility of all money disappearing from the game wouldn't make the economy healthy either (this is coming from someone with an insane amount of cash who could gain from it since money would become even more valuable than it is right now) I do think thought that lottery could & should maybe be 10 tickets max per IP (trying to cheat could be permanent ban for main account) or something I guess?

    Basically agree with you but skipping those waves is just to save time because anyone should be capable to do the 20 first waves anyway.

    wave 1-20 = irrelevant if you're going to complete the inferno or not

    We need more donator perks as well but this isn't something that HAS TO BE ADDED but I personally think it would be one of the first few perks that actually are meaningful on some level.

    It's basically the same point as skipping waves up to 31 on normal fight caves because if you skip / complete those waves it doesn't mean you will get the cape it only saves you some time and that's exactly what those waves are, waste of time & hardly any skill/knowledge required.


  11. I was thinking about the buy limit of tickets myself but then I thought what stops people from doing it on 100 different accounts if it's 1 ticket per account for example?

    I'm sure Kris is smart & capable enough still to fix that but I'm not sure how much work that would take.

    Either way, more tickets = higher chance of winning obviously like I said but you still have to remember that it's also a far higher risk to lose BIG.


  12. I'm guessing someone is already thinking: Why do we need a new donator rank when there's already one that is as high as $5000?

    Well simply because there are already quite a few people with Zenyte/Onyx and Dragonstone rank which is why not too many bonds are being purchased anymore in the g/e which is the reason why they have been going down in price lately (from 14-15m down to 10-12m each)

    If the bond value crashes too hard then there's a possibility that less people will continue or even start donating because they won't receive enough money for their bonds to be able to purchase certain gear/weapons that they're looking for.

    Besides this server is a long term one as we all know so based on that a $5000 rank isn't even that expensive especially when you can buy mystery boxes that sell 4-5m each per $10 bond which will make you less around 2-3m per $10 max meaning that you'll lose 200-300m / $1000 rank and that really isn't even too expensive especially now when bonds are becoming less valuable for the moment.

    I have some suggestions for current ranks as well that may be added if you agree with me:

    500 donator - Inferno wave 5 
    1000 donator - Inferno wave 10 & +3 favorite tele
    2500 donator - Inferno wave 15 & unique grey skin color & +3 favorite tele
    5000 donator - Inferno wave 18 & Unique orange Zenyte skin color & +4 favorite tele & 5% boosted slayer points

    New $10,000 or $15,000 donator rank benefits & Logo: [Personally I'd vote for $15,000]

    - Start at Inferno wave 20
    - New custom pet (Drake or Penance queen)
    - Birdhouse 15-18 minutes
    - Extra daily challenge 3
    - 3rd roll at WT
    - +5 favorite tele
    - Superior spawn boost 15%
    - Vote points 2.5x
    - Mark of grace boost 15%
    - Death timer 10 minutes
    - Crystal chest 30% chance for double loot
    - Fight cave wave 35/40 instead of 31
    - Run boost 25% instead of 20%
    - 10% boosted slayer points
    - Ability to unlock Ancestral recoloring for 10m coins (money sink) hHIzbeL.gif
    - Ability to unlock Twisted Slayer helm for 1000 slayer points & Horns for 10m coins (money sink) Twisted_slayer_helmet_detail.png?2ae9d
    - Custom Zenyte/Donator Cape?

  13. I was thinking that there could be a npc around home location that sells lottery tickets 250k/500k/1m each (price is up to you)

    The lottery will be randomly won by someone every 48-72 hours (up to you how often)

    Maximum amount of tickets available are 2000m worth coins (8000 tickets if 250k each/4000 tickets if 500k each/2000 tickets if 1m each)

    If for example the lottery pot is 1200m when the lottery ends the winner will receive 90% or 95% of the money (up to you which %)

    meaning that the winner will receive (1080m or 1140m) = 120m or 60m money sink

    You can purchase as many tickets as you want to (more tickets=higher chance of winning but also a higher risk to lose big if you lose)
