  2. Hello All - Wishing our players and their families a joyful Christmas and Happy Holidays during this festive season! I want to express my gratitude personally to all the participants and winners of the December 16-day giveaway. Your stories were truly special, and I appreciate the opportunity to share in those moments. In light of the number of participants, we opted for a different approach. Instead of daily draws, we conducted 16 separate rolls, and the outcome was that everyone emerged as a winner! Now, let's announce the winners: 9th of December: ($50 Bond) Winner: Noir 10th of December: (Tri Jester Scarf & Hat) Winner: Pancake 11th of December: (Jester Scarf & Hat) Winner: Listen 12th of December: (Bobble Scarf & Hat) Winner: QwqqeF3 Hop 13th of December: (Woolly Scarf & Hat) Winner: Hiel114 14th of December: (Candy Cane) Winner: Exhilarate 15th of December: (Christmas Cracker) Winner: Nythmare 16th of December: (Purple Party Hat) Winner: Gor Khoresh 17th of December: (Yellow Party Hat) Winner: Joao Mau1 18th of December: (White Party Hat) Winner: Scout Jr 19th of December: (Green Party Hat) Winner: Beta 5x 20th of December: (Red Party Hat) Winner: Hitman Hubby 21st of December: (Blue Party Hat) Winner: Dapper 22nd of December: ($100 Bond) Winner: JustGoNow 23rd of December: (Santa Hat) Winner: YTPUREJ 24th of December: (Inverted Santa Hat) Winner: Ryse I want to provide a brief update on the current status of Zenyte. It's clear that our player count has seen a decline since the reset, and we're actively working behind the scenes to address this matter. Our core team has undergone a minor restructuring, resulting in noteworthy promotions, including Normo, who is now a member of the Management Team. In addition, we're in the process of exploring a substantial overhaul of our shops to enhance the private server experience. Stay tuned for more details in the near future. Our advertising strategies are also undergoing diversification, with considerations for platforms like YouTube and others. Nevertheless, we recognize the potency of word of mouth as a promotional tool, so please feel free to inform friends engaged in Old School RuneScape about the enriched grind and realistic content we offer. I'd like to highlight that Cresinkel has informed me that the core concepts of The Gauntlet will be ready for beta testing this week. This marks significant progress, and our goal is to launch Prifddinas in January or early February. As a Christmas gift from our Management Team and Staff Team we will have an array of events hosted from the 24th of December through the 1st of Janaury. Our Global Moderator @Listenwill provide additional information on this today. We will also enable bonus XP from the 24th of January through the 26th of December and a store bonus of 15% will be added to our donator store with our mystery boxes and cosmetic mystery boxes being slightly reduced along with our Christmas attire. Thank you and Merry Christmas, Gepan
  3. Server Update - Donator Boxes and Bug Fixes - 8th December 2023 Greetings Community, It's been a week since we rolled out our revision upgrade, and I'm delighted to report that we've successfully addressed a substantial 85% of the reported bugs. While a few lingering issues remain, our dedicated plan is to resolve them in the upcoming week. Simultaneously, we've begun outlining our future agenda, and the recent community vote unmistakably points to the Gauntlet as the next major content our players are eager to experience. Cresinkel has graciously accepted the responsibility for this project, and we're tentatively eyeing a release date around the middle or end of January but this is subject to change depending on personal availability and other developmental needs. This also means that the remaining portion of our development team will be free to focus on various content, including but not limited to Tempoross, Prifddinas, and Zalcano. Additionally, we will be dedicating efforts to resolving bugs that were reported prior to the revision upgrade, including those associated with the Theatre of Blood. Now, shifting our focus to the latest update - we've prepared a set of bug fixes, a significant revamp of our mystery box, and the introduction of a cosmetic mystery box. Evaluating the necessity for these updates since Zenyte's original launch over four years ago, we've chosen a system that enables us to interchange items based on the community's needs and the in-game market demands. For instance, if there's a scarcity of blowpipes and numerous players have Grand Exchange offers requesting the item without any in their banks, a server administrator may temporarily substitute those items as needed. Furthermore, we've chosen to introduce a cosmetic box in response to discussions across various threads. We believe that Zenyte shouldn't primarily center around monetization. As part of our commitment to fairness, we frequently conduct internal credit giveaways. However, we acknowledge that limiting this benefit solely to our non-ironman players is unjust. Hence, the decision to include an ironman-friendly box has been made. I want to emphasize that even though our emphasis isn't solely on monetization, it remains crucial for us to compensate our developers for the ongoing advancement of our server. Every donation we receive is reinvested back into the community, and we sincerely appreciate your contributions. Mystery Box The Mystery Box underwent a significant transformation, featuring added items and a variety of adjustments. Each item within the mystery box has been carefully reviewed, either replaced or modified. We are thrilled to introduce the revamped Mystery Box, and we anticipate that this updated system will rekindle excitement for the donation-based gamble! Cosmetic Mystery Box The cosmetic mystery box addition has added an additional 100 items into our game including plenty of different high tier cosmetics and ornament kits. This will be available to our regular and ironman players for 70 credits or in the vote store if you would like to obtain them without the need to donate. I would also like to point out that all items will be considered tradeable. 15 Days of Giveaways (Christmas) The Staff Team would also like to invite all members of the community to our 15 Days of giveaways. For the past three years, it has been our tradition to offer the community Christmas-themed items and listen to their holiday stories. Please feel free to look over this thread event thread here. We eagerly anticipate the community's decision to shape the focus of our next update, and our Development Team is enthusiastic about working on either of these substantial content pieces. Kindly spare a few minutes to participate in the poll within this thread or the poll on Discord. 7. Server Update - Revision Upgrade - 1st December 2023 Hello Community, We've successfully reached the milestone for our revision upgrade, but rather than halting our progress, the Development and Staff Team is eager to introduce additional content alongside the new client. This update marks Zenyte's most significant advancement in several years, serving as just the beginning of what lies ahead. Our next focus involves the Core Developers tackling Nex, Tombs of Amascut, and Phanton Muspah, while the Junior Developers concentrate on releasing areas such as Prifddinas alongside skilling content such as Zalcano and Tempoross. Additionally, I want to highlight that these commitments represent initiatives that are already underway. This morning, @Override informed me that he is on track to finish Zalcano in less than a week and has already commenced groundwork for Tempoross. I've reiterated this point multiple times before, but it's crucial to emphasize our dedication to the players and the community. Unlike some others in the genre, our server's focus is not solely on maximizing monetization strategies. Instead, we prioritize enhancing and enriching the player experience in the best possible way. Thank you to each and every one of your for your continued commitment to us and we hope you enjoy every aspect of this update on December 1st 2023. Client Upgrade Client Upgrade We will have a new client available on December 1st 2023 which will have hundreds of plugins available. This will be one of the newest revisions of the Runelite client. Morytania Updates Darkmeyer Darkmeyer, capital city of Morytania, has been implemented and can be accessed through the Zenyte home teleport. It's inhabited entirely by vampyres and wearing a vyre noble disguise is required to move freely through the city and access most of it's features. Daeyalt essence mine The daeyalt essence mine found beneath the city of Darkmeyer is now accessible. You will need at least 60 mining in order to mine the daeyalt essence rocks. These will provide you with daeyalt shards that can be exchanged for daeyalt essence by talking to Noranna Tytanin. The daeyalt essence can be used in place of pure essence providing an additional 50% runecrafting experience. Vyre sentinels Vyrewatch sentinels are the stronger variant of the Vyrewatch. They can be found in the streets of Darkmeyer. These unique creatures can only be harmed with an Ivandis or Blisterwood flail. (This can be purchased from the slayer shop) They have a unique drop table which includes a blood shard. The blood shard can be used to craft an amulet of blood fury. (information below) Pickpocketing Vyrewatch Vyre nobles located in Darkmeyer can now be pickpocketed with at least a thieving level of 82. They will have a unique drop table including the blood shard, runes, coins and gems. Wearing a full rogues outfit will provide you with a double loot bonus. Amulet of Blood Fury The amulet of blood fury can be obtained by enchanting an amulet of fury with a blood shard. This will provide the amulet of fury with a passive 20% chance to use the special ability of life leech to heal 30% of the damage dealt on any hit when in melee combat. This item will have a limited amount of charges and once depleted the item will convert back to a normal amulet of fury. Verzik Vitur (Phase III) Verzik Vitur will now have all three phases available when participating in a raid in the Theatre of Blood. She will be in her full vampyre-nylocas hybrid form and only true adventurers will be able to withstand her wrath. This will mark the completion of the Theatre of Blood and the drops rates will be adjusted accordingly. Wilderness Updates (Part I) Ferox Enclave The Ferox Enclave will now be accessible and you can use the Zenyte portal located in Edgeville for a direct teleport. Inside the Ferox Enclave you will have access to the altar and the Pool of Refreshment. Revenant caves (updated) The Forinthry Dungeton has been adjusted to match Old School Runescape 1 to 1. This means NPCs have been relocated and the map has been restructured. This change will require exploration to familiarize yourself with the new layout of your favorite revenant. Wilderness Caves The wilderness cave is located beneath the wilderness it ranges from level 18 to level 32 wilderness. Creatures such as abyssal demons and black dragons can be found lurking. The monsters are stronger then their normal counterparts so they will have a slightly improved drop table including blighted items. Blighted Consumables You will now have the ability to obtain blighted items from different creatures inside of the Wilderness. This will include bosses and the wilderness cave. (Additional ways to obtain blighted items will be added in the future) Blighted items will only be able to be eaten, used or consumed inside of the wilderness. Revenant maledictus Revenant maledictus is a boss variant of the ethereal revenants. There is a rare chance that the boss spawns whenever any revenant is slain in the Revenant Caves. This demi-boss has a unique drop table and it guarantees an ancient emblem or ancient totem drop. It will also provide the slayer with the Forinthry Surge buff if they had an amulet of avarice equipped. Wilderness Updates (Part II) - Wilderness bosses Callisto Callisto's den is located in the wilderness south of Demonic Ruins. You will be charged a fee of 50,000 coins in order to enter. Once you leave this instance you will be arrive in one of three points inside of the Escape Caves. (Information below) Callisto's mechanics have been changed to match that of OSRS with his AOE and multi-combat style attacks. Please review the mechanics here before taking on the challenge. The drop table has also been modified to match that of OSRS including the Voidwaker hilt and Claws of callisto. Artio Artio is a weaker variant of Callisto and fought in the Hunter's End which is a singles-plus combat area located in Level 21 Wilderness. In order to access Artio you must've completed the medium Wilderness diary. In comparison, Artio is much easier than Callisto. However, in return you will receive lower drop quantities and rates. Killing Artio counts towards a Callisto boss slayer task. Venenatis The Silk Chasm is located in the Wilderness south-east of Callisto's Den. You will be charged a fee of 50,000 coins in order to enter. Once you leave this instance you will arrive in one of three points inside of the Escape Caves. (Information below). Venenatis's mechanics have been changed to match that of OSRS with his AOE and multi-combat style attacks. Please review the mechanics here before taking on the challenge. The drop table has also been modified to match that of OSRS including the Fangs of venenatis and the Voidwaker gem. Spindel Spindel is a weaker variant of Venenatis who is fought in the Web Chasm. The Web Chasm is a singles-plus combat area in level 29 Wilderness. In order to access Spindel you must've completed the medium Wilderness diary. Compared to Venenatis, the fight is much easier and safer in return for lower drop rates and quantities. Killing Spindel counts towards a Venenatis slayer boss task. Vet'ion The Vet'ion' Rest is located in the Wilderness south of Lava Dragon Isle. You will be charged a fee of 50,000 coins in order to enter. Once you leave this instance you will be arrive in one of three points inside of the Escape Caves. (Information below). Vet'ion's mechanics have been changed to match that of OSRS with his AOE and multi-combat style attacks. Please review the mechanics here before taking on the challenge. The drop table has also been modified to match that of OSRS including the Skull of vet'ion and Voidwaker blade. Calvar'ion Calvar'ion is a weaker variant of Vet'ion who is found and fought in the Skeletal Tomb which is a singles-plus combat area found in level 21 Wilderness. Accessing Calvar'ion requires completion of the medium Wilderness diaries. In comparison to Vet'ion, the fight is much quicker and safer in exchange for lower drop rates and quantities. Killing Calvar'ion counts towards a Vet'ion slayer boss task. Singles-plus Combat A singles-plus combat area is an area of the game similar to single-way combat, with the exception that if a player is in combat with a monster, another player attacking will likely take precedence over fighting the monster. You can identify a singles-plus area by the icon located above. In-game it can be found in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Currently, the only singles-plus combat areas are the Revenant Caves and the arenas for the weaker variants of the Wilderness bosses: Hunter's End, Web Chasm, and Skeletal Tomb. The only current exception to the rules of singles-plus combat is the Revenant maledictus which can be found in the Revenant Caves. While being located in a singles-plus combat area, the boss can still be attacked by multiple people as if in multicombat. Escape Caves The Escape Caves are an underground multicombat area found in between level 30-42 Wilderness that are connected to Callisto's Den, the Silk Chasm, and Vet'ion's Rest. Entering the boss lairs or the entrances to the Escape Caves requires players to pay a fee of 50,000 coins; this fee does not need to be brought along in the inventory, and can deducted from the bank. Whenever a player dies to another player, the fee is dropped as loot for the killer. Players can decrease the fee by killing the three bosses; each kill in which the player deals the most damage to it reduces the fee by 10,000 coins. When entering the Escape Caves from its four entrances, the player will suffer a unique debuff that gradually drains their Prayer points over time to discourage player killers from entering the caves the non-intended way and camping inside them. This debuff is not present if the player enters the caves via boss lairs. Wilderness loot keys Loot keys allows a player to retrieve the loot stored in the Loot Chest after defeating an opponent in PvP. In order to receive the loot keys instead of having the items dropped on the ground by the defeated opponents, The players must pay 1 million coins. to Skully in the Ferox enclave and turn on the associated settings. By default, loot key allows to retrieve all items that would be normally dropped by the opponent. Depending on the individual settings chosen by the player, the loot stored in the chest might contain all items except for food. When a player is killed by an opponent that is either in the process of dying or has died recently, their loot keys will be destroyed along with their contents and their loot will drop to the floor regardless of the loot key settings of the other player. If the player's inventory is not full, a loot key will appear in the player's inventory immediately after killing the opponent along with the kill message. If the inventory is full, the key will drop to the ground instead. If a player already possesses 5 keys and their opponent has keys as well, all of the opponent's loot will be dropped to the floor. Wilderness Weapon Changes Webweaver bow The Webweaver bow is an upgraded variant of the Craw's bow, requiring 70 range to wield. It is created by combining craw's bow with the Fangs of Venenatis. This will require 85 fletching. Players without the required Fletching level may ask Derse Venator in Ferox Enclave (has not yet been added) to do so instead, for a fee of 500K. The Fangs of venenatis will have a drop rate of 1/147 from venenatis, and 1/464 from Spindel. The Webweaver bow counts as a Armadyl item for God Wars Dungeon. This bow is identical in function to craw's bow, but with increased stats and a special attack. When attacking any NPC in the Wilderness, an additional 50% ranged accuracy and damage boost is applied. This effect will stack additively with a Slayer helmet (i) or multiplicatively with a Salve amulet(i) and their variants, but not both simultaneously. This makes it the strongest ranged weapon in the Wilderness, surpassing the damage output of a toxic blowpipe with dragon darts. Accursed sceptre The accursed sceptre is an upgraded variant of Thammaron's sceptre, requiring level 70 in Magic to wield. It is created by combining Thammaron's sceptre with the Skull of Vet'ion. This process requires level 85 Crafting; players without the required level to combine the items may ask Phabelle Bile in Ferox Enclave (has not yet been added) to do so instead, for a fee of 500,000 coins. The skull of vet'ion can be obtained from vet'ion at a rate of 1/147 and from calvar'ion at a rate of 1/464. The item counts as a Zamorakian item in the God Wars Dungeon. The sceptre is identical in function to Thammaron's sceptre, but with increased stats and a special attack. The sceptre also has a "Swap" option that allows players to switch it to an accursed sceptre (a), which is a variant that can autocast offensive combat spells from the standard spellbook (including Flames of Zamorak) and the Ancient Magicks. Ursine chainmace The ursine chainmace is an upgraded variant of Viggora's chainmace, requiring level 70 in Attack to wield. It is created by combining Viggora's chainmace with the claws of Callisto. This process requires level 85 Smithing; players without the required level to combine the items may ask Andros Mai in Ferox Enclave to do so instead, for a fee of 500,000 coins. The claws of callisto can be obtained from callisto at a rate of 1/147 and from artio at a rate of 1/464 This item counts as a Zamorakian item in the God Wars Dungeon. The chainmace is identical in function to Viggora's chainmace, but with increased stats and a special attack. Voidwaker The Voidwaker is a melee weapon that requires level 75 Attack to wield. It is acquired by having Madam Sikaro in the Ferox Enclave Dungeon reassemble the Voidwaker blade, hilt and gem, for a fee of 500,000 coins. The blade, hilt and gem are obtained as rare drops from Vet'ion, Callisto and Venenatis respectively (or their lesser counterparts). The blade, gem and hilt can be obtained from vet'ion at a rate of 1/270 or from calvar'ion at a rate of 1/684. The Voidwaker has a special attack, Disrupt, which consumes 50% of the player's special attack energy. The special attack deals guaranteed Magic damage between 50-150% of the wielder's maximum melee hit. The special attack will provide Magic experience with the same formula as powered staffs. The special attack is particularly useful due to its guaranteed medium to high damage. In PvP, it can be used for a consistent finishing blow and it pairs well with other high-damage special attack weapons such as the Armadyl or ancient godsword, dragon claws or granite maul due to its special attack cost. In PvM, it excels against opponents with high Defence and low-medium Hitpoints, such as Kalphite Queen, God Wars Dungeon bosses and Phosani's Nightmare, where dragon claws or other weapons would deal less damage on average and Defence reduction is less effective. As it deals Magic damage, it is less effective against opponents with a Magic damage resistance, such as players using Protect from Magic or Great Olm's melee claw. Similarly, it deals full damage against the Corporeal Beast. Island of Stone Island of Stone The island of Stone is an island in the lunar sea. Here, the legendary warrior V imprisoned The Jorgmungand, where it remains to this day, it can be reached by the Zenyte portal at home>Dungeons>Island of Stone. Here you can find Dagannoth, Basilisk, and Basilisk Knights. Players can only use a cannon in the room with dagannoth. When attempting to set up a cannon elsewhere, the game will say, "The ground is too soft for you to set that up here". Neitzinot faceguard The neitzinot faceguard is an upgraded helm of neitzinot that requires 70 defence, which offers increased defensive bonuses, its strength bonus is doubled. giving it the second highest of any helmet behind the torva full helm. It can be made by combining a helm of neitiznot and a basilisk jaw. The basilisk jaw is a unique drop from basilisk knights. Basilisks knights The Basilisks knights are a slayer creature that can be found in jormungands prision beneath the island of stone. Requiring 60 slayer to kill. Like cockatrice and basilisks, players must equip a mirror shield when fighting these monsters or they will take heavy damage and there stats will be drained. The Basilisk knight has an improved drop table from regular baslisks and can drop the basilisk jaw. Which can be used to upgrade the helm of neitzinot. the drop rate is on task 1/3750, or 1/750 on task. True Blood Altar True Blood Altar The Blood Altar (or true Blood Altar) is a runic altar used to craft blood runes from pure essence. which can be accessed through the abyss. A second Blood Altar exists in Great Kourend. It was created by the power from the Dark Altar located near it, which draws energy from the plane where the true Blood Altar is located. Kourend's Blood Altar requires 100% Arceuus favour to craft runes upon and does not require a blood talisman to access. Title System Unlockable Titles A title unlock system has implemented into the newest client and revision of Zenyte. This feature is entirely custom and not native to OSRS itself. It more imitates the one seen in RuneScape 3. There are over 60+ obtainable titles as of right now with every single boss having their own corresponding title unlock. You can check out the screenshot below for an example. Each title has colours that were handpicked by the development and testing team to allow for uniqueness. Setting Titles You can set your title with the ::unlockedtitles command if you have any unlocked and can set your title from there by clicking which one you want. We take the quality of our updates seriously because we aim to offer you an authentic one-on-one experience reminiscent of OSRS, coupled with the added advantages of swifter progression while preserving the essence of the game. 10. Structure Modifications Dear Community, We would like to discuss the changes that will be coming into effect immediately within the Staff and Development teams on Zenyte. From here on, Staff will be reverted back to it's original state in the follow form: Server Supports must be proficient in Old School Runescape. Server Supports must have the ability to multitask. Server Supports must be able to follow strict instructions. Server Supports must have a commitment of at least 20 hours per week in-game to assist the community with player support. Server Supports must have the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Server Supports must keep a strict adherence to our no trolling policy. We will be introducing the Tester Team, a branch of members that falling under our QA sector, led by @Tayler and overseen by @Normo. This team will be responsible for ensuring that our 217 revision is launched with minimal bugs, damages or errors. They will follow these rules: Testers must be proficient in Old School Runescape. Testers must have the ability to multitask. Testers must have a willingness to follow strict instructions. Testers must have a commitment of at least 12 to 16 hours per week dedicated to testing new content. Testers must have the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Testers must have a strict adherence to our no trolling policy Whilst this might sound confusing to some of you, we saw a very different level of effort that first expected. This is not something we wanted to continue trying to fix, therefore these changes will ensure that a separation of responsibilities keeps each team doing what they are able to do. As a community, you are able to join either team, or both, but your progression within the Staff team won't be affected by your efforts in the Tester Team and visa-versa. Each team will have it's own handled system. If you're interested in joining either team, head over to Discord and check out "Team Applications". We would like to thank all of you for your efforts within the game and Discord, keeping up motivated to push for our success moving into 2024. As an entire staff team, we see your passion, dedication and love for Zenyte and it is not ignored. Sincerely, Staff Team
  11. Zenyte 2 - Blog #9 Revision Upgrade Hello All, I'd like to seize this opportunity to share some insights with the community regarding our plans for the revision upgrade and the thought process that led us to this decision. Let me take a moment to provide some context. In our gaming world, a "revision" is akin to a version of the game. Currently, we find ourselves at revision 179 (2019), while the live game, Old School Runescape, has advanced to revision 216, soon to reach 217 (2023). This substantial gap represents several years of continuous content updates. Just as we are sure you do, our development team envisions Zenyte flourishing as a game capable of offering the latest content, stepping out of the 2019 era. However, it's vital to understand that while we're upgrading the revision, the actual coding of new content remains a separate task. Think of this revision upgrade as enhancing our underlying infrastructure, enabling us to code fresh content rather than directly delivering it to you. Numerous hours will be dedicated by every member of our Development Team behind the scenes to ensure that once the revision upgrade is finalized, the game will continue to function as you've always experienced. Yet, this leads us to an exceptionally significant subject, quite possibly the most crucial aspect of this announcement. Mobile. Mobile functionality has played a crucial role in our game since its launch, with approximately 20% of our player base engaging with it in various ways. At present, there is no one providing the latest revisions with mobile capabilities that match the standards we've set, both in our game and in OSRS. While there have been whispers of upcoming releases that aim to emulate this functionality, it's worth noting that these versions may come with limitations on FPS (frames per second). Our intention is to proceed with the revision upgrade, even though the status of mobile integration may not be fully resolved. We plan to reassess this matter after the revision is complete. We've decided to dedicate a substantial amount of funds towards research and development for this endeavor. However, it's important to acknowledge that the exact timeframe for its completion remains uncertain at this point. In my estimation, a reasonable estimate would be a period of at least two months or more. I recognize that the initial loss of mobile functionality might seem disappointing, but I kindly urge each of you to take a moment to review the OSRS updates from 2019 up to the present and consider the myriad possibilities this upgrade will unlock for the entire game. Thanks,
  12. Zenyte 2 - Blog #8 The Plan Forward Hello, To start, I'd like to mention that we're currently performing exceptionally well in terms of our player count, player feedback through votes, and the number of newly registered accounts. We have been consistently increasing our weekly registration numbers since our initial reset Moreover, our player counts have also reached some of the highest figures we've seen since August 11th (reset day), and this achievement has been complemented by a continuous upward trend in player votes. In fact, we've observed a daily increase in the number of votes since our September 1st. This combination is the key to our success. Nevertheless, there are a few essential elements we need to introduce into this equation to ensure we stay on this successful trajectory. A graph of newly registed accounts since 2021 measured on a week by week basis. Revision Upgrade There's no sugar coating it — we're approaching a significant challenge in our development journey due to the absence of a revision, and it's imperative that we take proactive measures to address this issue. For those who may be new to the RSPS environment, a revision determines which client and cache we utilize. To illustrate, our current revision lacks the ability to add content like the Tombs of Amascut, whereas the newest revision would allow us to take on this project. It's important to clarify that a revision serves as a foundation, and even after the upgrade, the initial coding or content addition still needs to be completed. As a Management Team, we are presently in the process of finalizing the remaining details to proceed with the revision upgrade, and we will keep the community informed if any issues or challenges arise during this process. This impending change will have the most significant impact on our game in several years. We are enthusiastic about finalizing the details soon and will ensure ongoing communication with the community. We estimate that once the process begins, it will take approximately 60 days to complete, barring any unexpected complications. Content Developers We are presently seeking a full-time developer whose primary responsibility will be to introduce fresh content or address any content-related bugs that have arisen recently. We've taken note of the community's desire for more updates, particularly in terms of content, and we're actively pursuing this request. This role will come with compensation and specific qualifications. Over the past two weeks, I've observed these as two of the most pressing issues, and we are committed to proactively addressing them to ensure we continue our progress. Thanks, Matt
  13. Zenyte 2 - Blog #7 Dear Community, Our post-launch survey from the previous week garnered a fantastic response, with a total of 68 participants. The insights gathered were truly remarkable, and now I'd like to seize this moment to present a selection of the statistics with you. Analyzing the feedback, it's evident that the recent reset brought satisfaction to the majority of our players, and the assistance provided by the staff team was highly commendable. However, it seems that there might have been some shortcomings in the events we offered. After careful examination of our events framework and considering the input received in response to the question, "What events would you have liked to see added?", we have opted to allocate a dedicated staff member to oversee community interactions and events. This individual will also take charge of the revitalized Events Team, as we are committed to providing more meticulously planned and comprehensive events in the times ahead. @jerrypeterwill be leading this. Anticipate a compilation of weekend events from the Events Team. This roster will be shared before the upcoming weekend and could encompass activities scheduled for a particular day or spanning the entire weekend. Additionally, you can look forward to a minimum of one meticulously organized throughout-the-month event. If you would like to join the Events Team do not hesitate to reach out to Jerry. Furthermore, we've observed a growing number of requests from our Discord members for the inclusion of distinct roles dedicated to announcements within the server. These roles pertain to important updates like game announcements, events, and poll additions. We're excited to share that you can now acquire these roles by simply visiting the #request-roles channel on our Discord. This implementation will also contribute to a reduction in the frequency of using the @everyone mention. Additionally, we've unveiled details about our upcoming quality of life update, set to launch on Friday, August 25th, 2023. Feel free to explore the dedicated thread for more information by clicking here. On behalf of the Staff Team, I extend our gratitude for taking the time to engage with the 7th edition of our Zenyte Blog. We encourage you to explore the polls provided below for your consideration.
  14. Zenyte 2 - Blog #6 Dear Community, I want to express my gratitude to both our players and staff members for their role in ensuring the successful launch of Zenyte II. It's truly incredible to see familiar faces from various timezones rejoining our community. This experience has provided immense motivation to our dedicated team of staff and developers as we begin to explore upcoming content updates and improvements to enhance the overall quality of life. We are of the conviction that this launch has established a solid groundwork for our future endeavors. Our commitment lies in adopting a fresh philosophy of promising less but delivering more, aiming to exceed expectations. Lately, we've entrusted one of our Global Moderators (Normo.) with the responsibility of heading the QA Team. Their role involves ensuring prompt handling of server suggestions and bug reports. This strategic move aims to enable developers to concentrate primarily on the coding aspects rather than expending effort on determining the next steps. We're also fully aware of our position in the revision, which acknowledges that we might not be up-to-date. However, be assured that conversations about new content are ongoing. What's crucial to recognize is that there's a substantial amount of content from our current revision that still awaits inclusion. If our aspiration is to consistently maintain our status as the top RSPS to OSRS server, it's often the minor details that hold significant importance. A couple of examples would this statement would be construction, herbiboar and abyssall sire. Our foremost objective is to ensure our initial steps are on the correct path. To this end, the Management Team has crafted a survey containing fundamental inquiries about our present status. Upon finishing the survey and optionally providing your username at the end, you'll have the chance to win a $50.00 bond. Rest assured, your responses will remain completely confidential and will solely serve the purpose of shedding light on potential improvements we can implement. The survey can be found here. I would also like to say congratulations to @Yaxxon becoming the first player to max since the launch and remind all of our players that the store bonus will be ending on the 21st of August. Your contribution toward the server has been and will always be truly apperciated. Wishing the best of luck to all our adventurers, and I kindly ask you to spare a mere five minutes to complete the survey. Your feedback holds significance, and the opportunity to win a $50.00 bond is an added incentive. Sincerely,
  15. The Staff Team provides Donator Transfers, but there are specific conditions that need to be satisfied for submitting a request: The individual making the request must be the original owner of the account intended to get the donated amount taken away and for the account receiving it, you should, at a minimum, be the sole owner. A recent donation of at least $20.00 must have been made within the last 7 days. However, an exception to this requirement is granted for players who have donated a total of over $2500 before August 11th, 2023. If the account to which you transferred a total is later found not to belong to you anymore, the account will be stripped of the donated total, and all accounts involved in the transfer will be permanently banned, with no possibility of recovering the total donated. Taking donated totals from accounts of which you are not the original owner is not allowed. Once you have allocated it to an account for which you are not the original owner, as of September 27th, 2023, we will not allow you to move it elsewhere. In order to submit a request for a Donator Transfer a General Support Ticket must be completed on our discord in this channel. You will want to provide the accounts you're wishing to transfer between in a screenshot showing the total donated and current date visible inside of the "Game Noticeboard" tab in-game along with a screenshot displaying your recent donation of $20.00 if applicable. Join the discord Here To initiate a request for a Donator Transfer, please follow these steps: Fill out a General Support Ticket in our Discord server, using the designated channel for this purpose found here. Ensure you provide the account details for the transfer, including the accounts involved and the total amount you intend to transfer. If relevant, attach a screenshot displaying your recent donation of $20.00 as part of the request. Thanks, Gepan
  16. Zenyte 2 - Blog #5 Dear Community, I extend my gratitude to each of you for your patience, and I hold optimism that the same level of excitement resonates within you as it does with our Staff Team, as we approach the remarkable launch just 48 hours away. As communicated by Panda, an eventful weekend filled with competitions and activities awaits. Further details can be found in this link. Our primary focus over the next 48 hours will be centered around ensuring quality assurance and meticulously reviewing the seamless implementation of all server updates. Recently, Corey has communicated that the voting system has been rectified, allowing you to cast your votes on all three of the designated voting platforms. These accumulated voting points and coins will hold value upon launch, making it advisable to commence your voting now to gain an advantageous head start. Additionally, donations are now live and operational through the official Zenyte store, which can be accessed here. This avenue enables you to acquire credits in advance. Alternatively, if you prefer to contribute through OSGP donations, feel free to reach out to a member of our esteemed Senior Staff. The culmination of our collective efforts will come to fruition on August 11th, 2023, at 12:00 PM CST. To all my fellow Zenyte adventurers, I extend my sincerest wishes for a prosperous journey ahead! Sincerely,
  17. Zenyte 2 - Blog #4 Dear Community, I'd like to take a moment to extend a warm welcome back to Cresinkel, who is back from vacation. We've patiently awaited the reset, and now, I'm delighted to officially announce that the reset is scheduled for August 11th 2023, marking the exciting launch of Zenyte II. This week, our main focus is to perform a comprehensive review of the server's coding, guarantee the smooth implementation of all player support processes, and unveil details about the events scheduled for launch. As stated in the previous blog, we have successfully shifted all player support processes to Discord. I strongly advise taking this opportunity to test your accounts in-game and on the forums before the launch, ensuring a seamless start to your adventure without any delays. Additionally, within the next 24 to 48 hours, we will be moving our staff applications and QA applications to Discord to maintain consistency across the board. If you're interested in becoming part of our teams, please get in touch with Soulz15 or jerrypeter, and they will inform you once this transition is complete. Sincerely,
  18. Zenyte 2 - Blog #3 Dear Community, Thank you for taking the time to read the 3rd edition of our reset blog. We have made a lot of progress over the last week and I would like to take a minute to provide our players with an update. Our Systems Team worked hard over the weekend and migrated our servers to the new hardware located in London. This will be also including the website and forums. Our Development Team has been working on a complete a inital review and modification of all of the commits (changes) from 2019 until present. I am excited to announce that we have completed 75% of this initial review. This should allow for a smooth transition once Cresinkel is back from vacation and allow us to start to pave the way for new and improved content releases. Our Staff Team has been working behind the scenes to make sure we are utalizing every method to our advantage for player support. This includes the recent migration of support tickets, ban appeals, and player reports to discord. We will also be working on detailed informational topics for FAQs and general support topics. I would like to bring to your attention that the Staff Team held a meeting this week to review our current progress. As stated in the FAQ, we are aiming for a launch in the first half of August, specifically on either the 4th or 11th. However, it is essential to note that this timeline is tentative and subject to change depending on various factors. We will keep you informed of any updates or adjustments as we move forward. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards,
  19. Zenyte 2 - Blog #2 Dear Community, I would like to take a moment to share an update on the current status of the reset. As mentioned in my July 3rd blog post, our team has been dedicatedly working behind the scenes, and I'm delighted to inform you that each individual involved is fully committed to achieving a successful outcome for this project. Our systems team has accomplished a significant milestone by successfully transitioning our code databases/repositories from the older Gitlab platform to an improved one. This upgrade ensures ease of access and simplifies permission sharing across the board. In parallel, our diligent Staff Members have been hard at work identifying necessary changes on the forums, in-game, and on Discord. Regarding the development aspect, I want to update you on our progress. Cresinkel, who has been on vacation, is scheduled to return around the 1st of August. In his absence, Jade has been involved in construction, and I have meticulously gone through every line of code updates starting from January 1st, 2021. Our aim is to remove or review any potential changes that may not align with Zenyte's criteria. I'm thrilled to share the good news that we have already completed 14 months of code review, and this 14-month period has seen the highest number of commits, updates, and changes since 2021. While there is still much work ahead of us, I want to assure you that we are approaching this reset with the utmost seriousness and dedication, ensuring that no stone is left unturned. Thank you all for your unwavering support and understanding. We are excited about the path ahead and will continue to keep you updated on our progress. We will also be transitioning all of our support tickets, reports and admin tickets to discord so if you have not joined the discord please do by clicking here. Best regards,

  21. Zenyte 2 - Blog #1 Dear Community, On June 26, 2023, the community voted in favor of relaunching the game with a fresh infrastructure and dedicated developers. This relaunch involves a complete reset of items, skills, and in-game progress. I wanted to provide you with an update on the progress we've made in the past week: We have created a specific section on our Discord server dedicated to all "Zenyte 2" related material and information. If you haven't seen these channels yet, please check them out under the "RESET-INFORMATION" category on our Discord. Taziz (The Great) has taken the lead in revamping the forums and is proficient in all the development languages relevant to the platform. Corey has made significant improvements to our updating process, including migrating crucial data and information to a new platform. We have successfully set up a new financial account to handle donations through the website effectively in the future. We are gathering real-time data from our polls and using this information to make informed decisions about the content to include, modify, or remove for the initial release. All the necessary access and permissions on the development side have been appropriately distributed. All of the Global Moderators and Game Administrators will be stepping down into a Game Moderator role. The Global Moderators and Game Administrators will be transitioning to the role of Game Moderators to ensure that we have the right individuals with the necessary training in leadership positions. We also extend an invitation to like-minded individuals who are eager to contribute to our community to join our Staff Team by submitting an application or requesting reinstatement. The information for this can be found here. Thank you for your continued support and patience. We're making steady progress, and we're excited to bring you an enhanced gaming experience with Zenyte 2. Best regards,

  24. Report a Player and Staff Reports Hello Community, I have recently been in discussion with members of the Staff Team and I would like to address some of the issues that have risen from members of our community in this reminder thread. A Moderator is not required to react to every situation that occurs in-game because they have a lot of additional responsibilities such as bot-busting, bug testing, events, and many other non-disclosures. If you are being insulted or disrespected by another player it is your responsibility to report this player in our report a player section of discord. I have instructed our Moderators to start directing players to submit reports instead of investigating situations instantaneously and issuing punishments. This provides for a more thorough investigation and relieves some stress from our moderators. So if a Moderator requests that you submit a player report they are not trying to ignore your immediate concern however want to ensure your case gets the necessary attention and investigation it requires. I have also recently received a few reports from our moderators and administrators that we have a handful of repeat offenders whom have been pushing issues just far enough that it's become a nuisance however don't quite overstep the line. This type of behavior is not acceptable and I have instructed them to start disciplining these individuals as seen fit. So if your one of those players who take enjoyment out of annoying members of the Staff Team I would strongly discourage it. You will no longer be welcome on the server if it continues. The final reminder is we have a system set in place for reporting members of the Staff Team. It has become way to frequent that there is drama in the help CC, discord, and DMs about what so and so moderator or administrator has done. I review and handle all Staff Reports and I feel that I do so fairly so if you have a complaint or a issue with a member of the Staff Team please give me the decency and respect and report them for I can handle the situation professionally and promptly before getting other members of the community involved. You can find this section located here. Thank you for taking time to read over this reminder! Sincerely, Gepan
